Yesterday one of my students asked me to read her this copy of “The Search for Mud Mountain” by the Huggies Cleanteam.
The book is part of the diaper company’s “educational material” that they use to teach children about the alphabet, as well as their soaps and wipes.
Henry Hippo (H is for Huggies Handsoap) and his gang of cleaning products are on a tireless search for Mud Mountain, “Henry Hippo smelled the mud, Billy smelled a treasure. He led them down a detour to find some buried pleasure.”
But throughout their journey, I couldn’t help but think they would end up in a dirty diaper, instead of the flying bathtub that saved the day.
Perhaps if the Cleanteam renamed the mountain Manicure Mountain, or Mousse Mountain, or Facial Moisturizing Mountain– anything besides “Mud Mountain” which looks like a pile of poo– it would help associate Huggies with clean things like their soap and shampoo.

Huggies are all about Poo, that why they have Winnie the Pooh on their diapers… LOL.
